Financing Your God-given Vision– 2
You must also know that money comes when there is a vision. Absence of vision is absence of funds. When God wants to prosper a man financially, He gives the person a vision. God will not supply without a purpose. If you don’t have a vision, pray and hunger for one and not money.
In continuation of what has been said, here are practical principles that cannot be avoided if you want to get the vision executed financially:
(a) Understand the Basic Principle of Financial Breakthrough
“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” – 2 Cor. 9:6
This is the primary key to your financial breakthrough. You must take a deliberate step to give to your man of God, the needy, your parents, kingdom projects and missions; especially in your time of need.
You must also service your covenant with God with your tithe. This is what sanctifies your wealth with your tithe. This is what sanctifies your wealth and shows your belief in Him. It should be consistent and not once in a blue moon.
(b) Get your Vision Well Documented and Packaged
“And the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” – Hab. 2:2
It is what is written that can be read. Let your vision be well documented in black and white. Don’t just have it in your head, let others appreciate what God is telling you to do. Write it in such a way that it can be easily communicated to an average person.
Apart from just writing it down, package it to portray excellence. Excellence is you doing things above the best. Excellence begets excellence. Those that God will use to fund your vision will give to the level of which they understand, appreciate and respect your documented vision.
It may take you time to get it documented and well packaged but do it. People will fall for any worthy purpose.
(c) Understand the Power of Relationship and Communication
“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” – Prov. 17:17
It doesn’t matter how clear and great your vision is, if you are poor in relationship, that vision may not be a reality. Deliberately invest your resources on people that believe in you and your vision. The relationships you don’t service will fizzle out. You must honour relationships in three levels: your subordinate, your contemporary and your superior. You must also deliberately pray for the right company of people to come your way. God will always use men to meet your needs but you must be accommodating enough not to repel them. If you have no money and you have men, then your needs are half done.
Your ability to communicate your vision to the people that God has linked up with you is very paramount. As a believer, what you need is boldness, and boldness comes when you have sought the face of the Lord in prayer and when you are fully persuaded about what you need the money for. This is the area most faithful believers tend to be weak and the crafty ones tend to be strong. You must communicate the vision with the financial implications, the deadline, and what they stand to gain for being part of this dream. You are the best person to communicate your vision.
(d) Understand the Principle of Integrity and Faithfulness
“If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches.” – Luke 16:11
You must do everything in the year of the Lord. Be a good steward of money, if you are faithful in managing the little, then you will be qualified for much. Why we are not getting much is because we have not passed the test of faithfulness in little things. Integrity is you acting with the consciousness of God’s presence around you, with the heart that is void of any secrecy or craftiness. Accountability is an obvious test of integrity. Money collected for a specific purpose must be used for that purpose.
God will always honour a faithful man. No matter the pressure choose to be a steward of money. Faithfulness is the scarcest virtue in the church today, the reason for life withdrawal of God’s provision.
(e) Set your Priority Right
Don’t be over ambitious with your vision. Set the most important aspect to be the most priority right. Give attention to the most important issue on your scale of preference.
Money given for your vision is not meant to purchase a luxurious car or to travel abroad for a vacation. You destroy your tomorrow if you place the cart before the horse.
In setting your priority right, you must also see that your vision is in phases, so expect supply in phases and implement in phases.
As you adhere to these principles your waiting will come. It may not come overnight but patiently wait for it; it will surely come if you are meant for it.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
The Lord shall supply more than enough for you in Jesus’ name.
